Materials
- 1x 100g skein Sparkleduck Solo (4ply weight, 100% superwash merino singles, 366m/100g) in Who needs chocolate*
- 4mm (US G) hook
- 1 removable stitch marker
*Sadly this yarn is no longer available but this pattern suits any fingering weight yarn, for the same effect choose a merino singles yarn in a semi-solid bright jewel shade.
Tension
2 pattern repeats and 13 rows in htr only to 13cm/5in after firm blocking using 4mm hook (or size needed to achieve tension)

Intermediate (Much easier for chart followers than pattern readers!)

Basic crochet stitches, working in rows, picots.
Construction
Triangular shawl worked in rows from the center neckline outwards, increasing in the pattern on neck edge and around central spine.
